Meet Dr. Andy Truong
Dr. Andy Truong joined Moores Chapel Dentistry in June 2023. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, he is excited to return home and provide comprehensive dental care to the community.
After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, Dr. Truong received his master’s degree from North Carolina State University. Prior to enrolling in dental school, he worked as a dental assistant where he travelled to nursing homes throughout North Carolina.
Dr. Truong completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. During his four years of dental school, he served on the pre-dental committee as a mentor for undergraduate students seeking to pursue a career in dentistry and worked as a tutor for the preclinical modules. During his final year of dental school, he provided dental care throughout North Carolina in the cities of Sylva, Spruce Pine, and Ahoskie.
Dr. Truong is a member of the American Dental Society, North Carolina Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry. He is passionate about being an eternal student and spends his free time taking continuing education courses to provide the highest quality care for his patients.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Truong enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn. His hobbies include weightlifting, traveling, and slicing the ball on the golf course.
